Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She is the co-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well being the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist and television host, as well as philanthropist and also the proprietor and publisher of The Huffington Post. After moving into England from Greece when she was 16, she received a MA with a major in Economics from Cambridge University. She was the first person who was not from the UK to become president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. Her success as a conservative journalist was further consolidated when she graduated. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online voice-portal that provided critiques of the politics. Arianna was able to attract many prominent contributors to share their thoughts about politics and culture. Arianna gained fame when she made the decision to run independently in the California recall election to replace the then governor Davis. Also, she was the head of an Detroit automobile project that was fuel efficient. Forbes listed her as one of the "most influential female" in media and ranked her 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 most influential media people in 2009. AOL, Inc. appointed her President of their media division in 2011 following the bought The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post included additional AOL brands such as Engadget AOLmusic Style list and Patch Media. Her parents were journalist and management consultant Konstantinos as well as his spouse Elli Stasinopoulos. Although she had a close friendship with both her father and mother, it was their bond that helped shape her. In her earliest years she showed leadership abilities which are still widely admired. At the age of 16years old, she emigrated from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. In the time of her studies, she belonged to Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she rose to become the first woman and the only foreign president. In 1972, she earned a master's degree in Economics. In the years following her graduation, she worked as an editor of the critic's column and a television host. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began to write her own novels with his aid.
